I have always loved any form of embroidery. Creative hand embroidery of all kinds is exciting. Experimenting with different techniques is so much fun, these have included gold work and crewel work.

I went on to freehand machine embroidery on the sewing machine. I couldn’t believe what amazing results you could get with the machine. Using the machine needle as a pen/pencil to draw with is incredible and I found my real passion.
Although thread painting is probably my favourite technique, I also enjoy mixed media work making handmade books, cards and bookmarks.
