Whilst at times I work in the studio, I prefer to paint from scene where possible, and could be considered one of West Sussex’s most prolific plein-air painters, working in a variety of weathers and occasionally a nocturnal scene with lighting set up

I was fortunate enough to be adopted into a highly artistic family,. As I share my name with a well known established London artist Stephen Wiltshire, I have always painted under my original name prior to adoption - O’Mally. I generally prefer to exhibit a few pieces on my portable buggy whilst out painting. I consider myself an impressionist and have enjoyed painting plein-air with artists from Brighton and London.
I have had no formal training, simply taught by my grandfather, I don’t remotely consider myself an “Honest Artist” Its not about recreating an exact likeness, I’ll pop in the sky or light source I prefer, not always what happens to be there, I believe a “Vibe” is all that's required.
