I like collecting local clays to make slips for decorations and make my own glazes, preferring the earthy natural colours from nature.

I started doing pottery at night classes over 40 years ago and am still learning after all these years.
My hand-thrown pottery is practical and functional for everyday use, using stoneware and earthenware. I fire the glazed earthenware pots in an electric kiln and have a wood fired kiln in the garden for glazed stoneware pots. A few times a year I fire a raku kiln in the garden with friends.
