Hand built ceramics fired using raku and electric kilns, all as a result of experimenting with different clays, glazes and techniques
Through my mother, a member of a local pottery, I started clay about 20 years ago, since then I have been hooked. Most of my work is hand built; however no process is ruled out, there is always the constant exploration of different techniques using new materials. I continue to produce raku decorative vessels, my “triffids”, but lately have been experimenting with different clays and homemade glazes which allow for totally different decoration techniques.
