Ritas work is primarily in oils, acrylic and pastels.
In October 2013 She became Artist In Residence for Hotham Park in the centre of Bognor Regis and has produced numerous drawings and paintings of various aspects of the Park.
Travel abroad has also influenced her choice of subject matter and she is particularly interested in volcanic and geothermal activity.
Rita uses Harlequins in some of her work as a universal symbol for humanity. Recently she has turned her attention to climate change and has done a number of paintings about this.
Drawing and sketching were strong elements in Rita's training at Nottingham College of Art and she has continued to use sketchbooks as source material for many of her paintings.
